Brill-28 Plataforma Salão

A total of 26 Brill-28 and Brill-23 cars were reconstructed during the years 1938-46. The most visible part of this reconstruction was the extension of the platforms into the Plataforma-Salão type. This feature, before only present with de Brill-bogie cars of 1926-28 can be easily recognized by the narrow windows next to the entrances. But also new or extended trucks (wheelbase 2.25 m instead of 2.15 m) and air brakes were installed.

In later years many, but not all, did get back lights and doors instead of folding gates.

This series was the most numbered type during the last years of the classic Porto tram.

In the table below an overview is given of the original CCFP numbers and the official construction years (which probably are the reconstruction years).
