Bogie trailers

These seven trailers were build by "A Constructora" on bogies delivered by Brill in 1910/1.

They are familiar with the bogie motor car of 1904 and spent most of their live working on line 1 between Infante and Leixoes, at first towed by 4-wheel cars, later behind the bogie cars series 270-277, 280-289 and 266-269.
In 1918 there was a proposal to convert these trailers into motor cars. This plan was never realized. The curious fact is that the plan, which shows a drawning of the trailers, does mention 8 trailers and not 7! The solution appears to be more curious: from 1918 until 1924 the bogie motorcar was used as trailer....

Their original open platforms were enclosed around 1948. In 1960 they were withdrawn from daily working. During the months July and August (weekends only) until 1966, they were used for leisure traffic on line 1 to the beaches.

Car 1 is now in the museum of Massarelos again in its original form.
