Buses
The
annual report of 1931 of the CCFP mentions the construction of 6
bodies for buses. Also drawings of these vehicles do exist, but
about their employment nothing is known.
In the late forties the STCP was looking for ways to modernise
and expand. Modernising the tramfleet appeared to be too
difficult. Expansions were made by acquiring buses. At first
these were not used to replace the trams, but only on newly
introduced lines. The first busline did start April 1st 1948.
During the years, the number of buses was increased
steadily and the older replaced by new. Double deck buses were
used but are now disappeared again. On some lines articulated
buses are used. The latest developments are low floor buses; and
the newest of those have airconditioning.
Nowadays
the STCP is an urban buscompany with several hundreds of buses in
use.

Sorry, no more information about
the buses, this is a
Tram
