In
1909 this series of cars was delivered by the United Electric Car
Co of Preston (UK).
It seems these cars were
renumbered quite often. They started in 1909 with the numbers
202-206 but were renumbered already in 1913 in the series 296-300. An old photo made around
1926 shows one with the number
133. The
CCFP-numbers in 1946 were 175,
170, 247, 171 & 267. Finally the STCP numbered them 115-119.
Except
for the 117 and 118 they also got enlarged (Saloon type)
platforms. Only the 119 did get doors instead of folding gates.
The 115 and 119 were withdrawn in 1967, the 117 in 1973, the 116
after an accident at the end of 1976. The 118 which worked until
the 1980's, survives as 247 in the Massarelos museum.
