Carro 500

This was the most modern tramcar ever in Porto until the appearance of the Eurotram of the Metro do Porto. It was a prototype for the intended construction of double-ended modern bogie cars, but these new bogie cars were never build. Car 500 is single-ended and has a 4-wheel truck. It was the only Porto tramcar with seats for driver and conductor and folding doors closed while driving. It was withdrawn from service in 1972 becoming one of the first museum cars.
