HistoryOn 13 June 1875 the mule tram-line to Campanhã was opened. This line followed from Praça Dom Pedro V the route via Rua Dom Pedro V, Bolhão and Rua Sta.Catarina. Soon the whole route from Foz (Cadouços) to Campanhã was done as one line. Until 1914 there was an electric service Bessa - Boavista - Carvalhosa - Carmo - Praça da Liberdade - Batalha - Biblioteca - Campanhã, which was since 1912 indicated with "B". For some years since 1914 the lines 11 & 12 were combined to a circular service. The clockwise route got the number 11, the anti-clockwise route the number 12. Later both services were made independent from each other again. Line 11 closed on 11 June 1964 and line 12 on 4 March 1960. Top of pageTime-tables15 December 1884
